Dr. Aino Weyers, representing IPPNW Germany, spoke about the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN), Dr. Katja Goebbels, also IPPNW Germany, about the principle of "Do no Harm". Dr. Gunnar Westberg of Swedish Physicians Against Nuclear Weapons presented the idea that Nuclear War and Climate Change are two of the greatest current threats to human survival, and that a network like ICAN is necessary to link the nuclear disarmament movement with environmental movements.
