Six resolutions, an appeal and a declaration were adopted at the IPPNW International Council in Mombasa, Kenya, at the conclusion of the 23rd IPPNW World Congress. The resolutions covered the issues of climate, the link between nuclear power and nuclear weapons, export of nuclear-powered submarines and use of HEU, depleted uranium weapons, roles and responsibilities within the federation, as well as the decision to conduct a survey of the affiliates. The Mombasa Appeal for Peace and Prevention of Nuclear war calls for a ceasefire and negotiations for a peaceful solution to the war in Ukraine. The Congress Declaration called for an end to post-colonial conflicts and policies providing health, true security, economic justice and environmental protection.

Mombasa Appeal for Peace and Prevention of Nuclear War
The appeal calls for a ceasefire in Ukraine and negotiations for a peaceful solution to a war that risks escalation to a nuclear catastrophe. It was issued by IPPNW’s International Council and Board of Directors at the conclusion of the 23rd IPPNW World Congress in Mombasa. ►Read the Appeal
